AAAA Records in Shared Hosting
If you want to create a new AAAA record for any domain name or subdomain hosted inside your shared hosting account, it is not going to take you more than several easy steps to do that. Our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is quite intuitive to use and is going to allow you to set up or change any record effortlessly. Once you sign in and navigate to the DNS Records section, where you'll discover all current records for your domain addresses and subdomains, you will just have to click the "New" button, pick AAAA from a small drop-down options menu in the pop-up that'll show up, type or paste the necessary IPv6 address and save the modification - it's as simple as that. The new record will be fully active within a maximum of an hour and the hostname that you have created it for shall start opening whatever content you have with the other provider. If needed, you'll also be able to edit the TTL (Time To Live) value, which reveals the time in seconds the new record will be live after you eventually edit it to something different or you simply erase it.
AAAA Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
In case you have a semi-dedicated server account from our company and you have to create an AAAA record for a domain name you have hosted in it or a subdomain you've created, it will take you just a few clicks within the Hepsia CP to achieve that. Even if you have never had a website hosting account before, you'll not face any issues as you will use a very simple and intuitive interface. All the DNS records for your domain names will be listed in a section of the CP with the exact same name, so as soon as you go there, you will notice all records that have been set up automatically or manually and you're going to be able to create a new one by simply clicking on the corresponding button. A compact pop-up will appear, so with just a few clicks you can choose the type of record you need and for which domain name or subdomain it's going to be set up. Afterwards, just paste the IPv6 address inside a text box, save the change and an hour later the new AAAA record is going to be fully functioning. As an optional setting, you can choose the length of time this record is going to be working after you modify it or remove it in the future. That is the so-called TTL, or Time To Live value of the record, which you can change from the standard 3600 seconds if the other service provider demands it.
